Amazing Books for Boys

Read any amazing books for boys lately?

Did you know that amazing books for boys can become fully blown, family-friendly, extravaganza EVENTS!?

In particular, and event called AMAZING BOOKS FOR BOYS...!?!?

Well, it's all true.

And on June 20th, in Abingdon, I will be performing, signing, speaking, reading, hyperventilating and possibly dancing like a jittery monkey as part of the AMAZING BOOKS FOR BOYS event presented by Mostly Books.

So let's hear those details...

JUNE 20TH, 1pm, at the Amey Theatre, Abingdon School, Park Road, Abingdon, OX14 1DE

I'll be there as part of the first ever TRAPPED BY MONSTERS show with my fellow monster bait Andy Briggs, Tommy Donbavand, Sam Enthoven, David Melling and Ali Sparkes - all fantastic authors in their own right.

The six of us will be performing together. Yes, that's right - six top children's authors performing TOGETHER, for the first time. It's like Lady Gaga and Eminem teaming up to perform with Paul McCartney and Lily Allen. All at once. While Take That chip in with suggestions.

It costs 3 pounds and if you want to you can also get tickets see Robert Muchamore or Chris Bradford afterwards, or both.

And if you want to come for free the join the JIMMY COATES FACEBOOK page and look out for the competition coming in the next few days...

I love your idea about Amazing Books for Boys.

That's because I grew up as a reluctant reader, in spite of the fact that my father published over 70 books. Now I write action-adventures & mysteries, especially for tween boys, that avid boy readers and girls enjoy just as much.

My blog, Books for Boys http://booksandboys.blogspot.com recently reached # 1 on Google.

Keep up your good work concerning reading.

I have this little problem... I like the books that people say are for boys. So I kinda get annoyed when people say 'oh yeh, these are boys books'. :D But it's a good idea, my brother hardly reads at all. And he quite liked Jacqueline Wilson's books...

NutmegAngel: I know, it's annoying isn't it? I don't ever think about writing just for boys when I'm writing. I just want to tell a great story.
And actually, my books are read by as many girls as boys.
But I can understand why they're marketed more for boys, so I don't really mind.

Max: thanks for the nice thoughts and letting me know about your blog. Good luck with your books!
