It is the sport with the ideal balance of individual skill and team understanding.
It is fast paced, but easy to watch and easy to play.
It requires no expensive equipment.
It is sociable, yet competitive.
It is FUN!
I think one of the things I love is the aesthetic value of ten players being contained in a fairly small space, surrounded by walls that are also part of the game. And to play the game well requires almost constant movement from those players. Let's be honest - it's almost ballet.
Surely the monarch of all sports.
Table-tennis comes a close second.
