Chilli Toast

This is probably nothing new, but it's new to me. And if it is new, then let it be my contribution to world cuisine.
Some friends recently gave us a home-grown chilli plant, which not only looked amazing, but produced some delicious chillies.
I am going through a 'put chillies in everything' phase, and that - as you might have guessed - includes one of my favourite snacks: toast.
Finely chopped and spread with the butter, it's quite a treat.
Unfortunately, I've now used up all the chillies from the first harvest, and I'm waiting for the plant to grow some more. There are some promising green ones already - but will they ripen now that the weather is colder?
In fact, now it's chilly, will we get chillies?
