Sports gibberish has reached a new high. Matthew Hayden (the Australian cricketer) was asked about retiring, so he said:
“Ultimately it will be my call to look at the bloke that talks to yourself every day in the mirror and say ‘mate it is time to go’ or ’saddle up, pull your socks up and get on with it, you’ve got South Africa and you’ve got the Ashes’.”
Yes, he'll be looking at the bloke that talks to yourself every day in the mirror. You know that bloke. No? Haven't you seen him? He looks a bit like an Australian cricketer. But surely everyone sees him every day in the mirror.
Matthew Hayden has since announced his retirement. The bloke in the mirror must have helped him out.
