Packing My Suitcase Full Of Ideas

I'm off on a pretty exciting little trip today. Gotta pack. I'm not going to tell you exactly where I'm going, but hopefully I'll be able to update you on what I'm up to and how things are going while I'm away.

The only clue I'll give you is that my destination isn't in the UK. OK, that leaves it quite vague, doesn't it? Well tough. No more clues.

I'm intending to get a whole lot of planning work done while I'm away - that's planning on the next Jimmy Coates book, of course. Number 6 is already written and just waiting to be edited - Jimmy Coates: Power. It'll be out in the UK in October. So this weekend I'll be working on the 7th in the series. (The title is still top secret.)

At the moment, my plans only extend as far as a few major plot twists, the reappearance of a couple of characters who've been missing for the last few books, and the deaths of some of the major members of the usual line-up.

It's going to be the penultimate book in the series, so I'm taking the opportunity to explore some dark corners of the plot that I've always wanted to develop. Basically, my thinking with this one is to turn everything on its head. Anything could happen. Anybody could triumph, lose, fight, betray, befriend or...

...die.

Meanwhile, check out the latest edition of the "Joe Craig Show" on JCom Radio. It went out live tonight, but you can find on the 'listen again' page at www.jcomradio.net

I interviewed Stedeford & Kershaw, the up and coming (and very funny) comedy double act. Or, as they described themselves, 'funny ladies'.
