Imaginary Madrid has had a great run recently (that's my five-a-side team, by the way). Before tonight we were joint top of our league with only two games to go.
Tonight we fought hard, but weren't quite up with the programme. Personally, I thought I had a pretty poor game. As if to rub it in, I got smacked in the face by the ball and now one side of my head is a giant bruise.
We lost 8-5. This means we probably won't finish in the top two, as things are very close at the moment. But to be honest, I don't think anybody will mind - a top two finish means promotion, which means 14 weeks of much tougher games.
One game left to play. I'll keep you posted.
