Yesterday I popped in to Whitefield School to pay a surprise visit to their new reading group. The school is pretty local, and it was great for me to meet the students.
We chatted about writing (mine and theirs) and I was even treated to some jelly babies. There was a lovely atmosphere in the school and I'm looking forward to visiting again.
Meanwhile, I have a box of receipts on my desk and I'm fighting my way through it. With every one, I remind myself how wonderful it is to be self-employed (and also to have an accountant).
