25th February - Zeppo Marx's birthday.
One of the lesser known Marx brothers (Gummo Marx is even less well known; I don't think he even appeared in any of their films), Zeppo nevertheless made a vital contribution to the Marx canon.
He's the one trying desperately hard to play it straight in classics like 'Duck Soup' and 'Animal Crackers', while his three brothers create chaos.
They soon realised that the chaos worked better on its own, so Zeppo took a back seat after 'Duck Soup'.
Still, worth paying tribute to one of the originators of modern humour.
