What a day.
Traffic nightmares. Thunderstorms. The Brondesbury Under Elevens trying to get to Osterley for a quarter final match.
Parents struggling to deliver cricketers to the ground. Me, also stuck, unable to get hold of the opposition coach so he could call the match off.
It was cancelled. But only after we'd all attempted the journey.
I even made it to Osterley - it took three and a half hours. Everyone was gone, so I came home. That took only three hours.
But I did pick up some sushi on the way home.
