Fruitcakes and Stanburn

I've been at Stanburn Middle School today, where I had loads of fun meeting a crazy bunch of people with story ideas about Scottish monkeys and mauling lions. And that was just the teachers.

To be honest, I only have hazy memories of the day. It was all a bit of whirl. I do have an image in my head of Jimmy Coates fighting of a herd of roasting cows. Did that happen, or did I just imagine it? And why do I keep seeing him with a snake eating one of his arms, a cat eating one of his legs, while a Scottish monkey tricks him into calling the Queen 'Babs'?

Thanks for the warm welcome, Stanburn.

Meanwhile, I've also had cause to consider the category of 'friendliest people in the world.' I think I might have found the answer: people who make fruitcakes.

How can you make a fruitcake and NOT be one of the friendliest people in the world? I think it's something to do with the amount of time spent with your hands immersed in sugar.

So on that note, I'd like to recommend the Cornish Fruitcake Company. Give them a ring and find out for yourself.
