  5. Do you live in a mansion?
  6. Do you have servants?
  7. Can I borrow some money?
  8. Do you make a lot of money?
  9. Are you as rich as JK Rowling?
  10. Where did you get your shoes?
And it seems from THIS cartoon that my experience is not unusual...

Children are taught about lots of things in school. Superficiality isn't one of them! Anyway, I bet you've had the odd peek at those rich lists!

I was actually referring to the previous blogger's comments. My point was that if children appear to have superficial values they won't have got them from school. Also I think most people are interested in what other people earn - especially celebrities. Kids just haven't learned to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate questions.

I think about three of them got asked when you came to my school. And I think the car one was asked in about five different ways.
