Hard At Work

Serious work day today. I have to get my next book into shape for my deadline at the end of March. So apart from a couple of welcome distractions, it's been a day of hard thought and intermittent typing.
The distractions:
1. A photographer from The Independent came round. He was very friendly and I enjoyed posing a little more than I should probably admit.
2. Dealing with some foolish and misguided comments about the BBC on this very weblog. If you look hard enough you'll find them, and my response.
3. Playing with my new toy - a mini-digital camera. It's pretty funky, and it fits completely inside my mouth. I had trouble getting it out again. Do you want to see any close-ups of my tongue, by the way?
