Happy Birthday Hoagy Carmichael.
He was one of the great songwriters, and it's the anniversary of his birth today. He wrote the music to a stack of classics - including 'Stardust' and 'Georgia' - and also made appearances in a few films, usually as the wise piano player who sang a couple of snappy numbers. Check him out in 'To Have and Have Not'.
Apart from 'Georgia', probably my favourite song of his is 'In the Cool Cool Cool of the Evening', for which he won an Oscar in 1951.
