I just picked wild blackberries - a huge bowl full of them. This won't amaze anyone who lives in the country, but I live in London. OK, it's leafy suburban London, but I just discovered a lane round the corner from my house that fools you into thinking you're in the middle of the countryside. And there's about half a mile of blackberry bush, full of juicy, succulent blackberries. Some tangy ones too. I reckon another week or two and they'll be at their best. Or they'll all be gone.
