I know I don't need to tell you about the horrible events here in London today. But I felt I had to say something. Trouble is, what can you say?
Even though we all knew that an attack on London was a distinct possibility, it's still shocking, distressing, unfair, disgusting...
I would like my lasting memory of today to be one of utter admiration for London's emergency services.
But I fear that it is more likely to be the chilling message that flashed onto the road signs as I drove up the motorway:
"Avoid London - Area Closed - Turn On Radio."
I never want to see that again.
