Smelly Hands

I have been washing up and now my fingers smell. I think the rubber gloves must have a tiny hole in them, because the insides got wet. The resulting smell is very off-putting. It's a sort of rotting leather odour.
Yes, yes, I tried washing my hands. Then I smothered them in hand cream. Now they are very soft, but they smell of rotting leather and hand cream.
I'm going to have to jump in the shower and cleanse myself from top to bottom just to get rid of the smell on my hands.
Still, at least it'll mean I wash.
And the dishes are clean, too.
