Just got back from a hectic morning. First, a brief and slightly bewildering appearance on BBC Breakfast, with Dermot Murnaghan and Natasha Kaplinsky. Everyone was very friendly and helpful - especially my fellow guest, author John Walsh.
I was a little disappointed that Dermot and Natasha do actually look like they look on TV. I don't know why, but there you go. I don't know whether I also look like I look on TV - I'll have to watch myself.
After that I was dashed up the A41 for my visit to Holland House School - it was brilliant! Much more exciting than the TV.
I ranted for a little while about how I put together a story, and the kids came up with some amazing ideas and questions. I especially enjoyed the suggestion that it would take me 45,000 days to write a book. It kind of made sense in the context, but was still funny.
Now I'm home, and everything seems funny - there's a man painting the bathroom and the paint fumes are pickling my brain.
Darn you, Jospeh, for not saying anything about this till now. I'd have watched you if I'd known...
ReplyDeleteOh look, in fact you did say something. I shall shuffle off now, all ashamed.
ReplyDeleteBe not ashamed, Marianne. And I was only on for about a minute.
ReplyDeleteThe DVD release (with commentary) is imminent.
was I dreaming or did John Walsh say he would be "knocking one out" before tea?!
